  • If the recent Domariyaganj bypoll showed that the slide in the Samajwadi Party’s fortunes in the state hadn’t been stemmed, it also indicated the slow and steady rise of a little-known outfit of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Peace Party of India. By getting more votes than both the SP and the Congress, the PPI sent a strong signal to the two parties that its growing popularity among the state’s Muslim voters, particularly the poor, could not be ignored. And that when it went against the grain and fielded a Hindu candidate. This was the second time the PPI had made its present felt in the area after putting up a good show in five constituencies during the last Lok Sabha polls.
  • What makes the defeat worse perhaps for the party is that its former leader and now no-holds-barred enemy Amar Singh is supporting the PPI. Along with film star Sanjay Dutt and MP Jaya Prada, Singh had participated in a rally organised by the PPI in Domariyaganj.

  • What is worrying the two parties more is a change in the PPI’s strategy to expand its base beyond core Muslim supporters. The candidate fielded by the party this time was Sachchidanand Pandey, and it has entered into an alliance with two other little-known but important outfits — the Bhartiya Samaj Party and the Janvadi Party.

    “Our political strategy is based on the successful tricks adopted by the BSP in the past elections. Like the BSP, we are focusing on expanding our base among backward Muslims and fielding candidates from different communities,” a source in the PPI said.

  • On Sunday evening, one of the news media houses exposed Nitish. While it is in public domain now that Nitish didn’t spend Rs 5 crore Gujarat aid meant for Kosi flood victims for two years, the news camera traveled to Kosi flood affected Madhepura area and interviewed one Yasmin Banu who told how she had not received any help from the state government after the flood that ruined her life. The TV channel also interviewed around half a dozen other flood affected people. All of them had faced hard time during to flood but had not received any help from the state government. The channel literally exposed Nitish’s Muslim appeasement drama by showing Muslim victims of Kosi flood, and their story.

    Muslims constitute 16% of Bihar’s total population. There are 1 crore 37 lac Muslims in Bihar. They are significantly present in 60 assembly areas of Bihar. In last three years Nitish government has initiated several schemes to win Muslim votes. Kabrastan walls, separate hostels for minority students, monuments in memory of minority leaders, computerization of Wakf board’s properties, Chief Minister minority student encouragement scheme, financial aid to Muslim widows, coaching for Muslim students etc. are some of the schemes.

  • Now read this. How Muslims became prominent group of voters in Bihar. One of the reasons is intrusion from Bangladesh.
  • In Kishanganj, the place that sent Taslimuddin to Parliament, Muslims constitute close to 68 per cent of the population. In Purnea, Araria and Katihar they are 37 to 42 per cent. In these districts the population of Muslms is growing a quarter to three-quarters faster than the population of non-Muslims. And these are precisely the districts in which Bangladeshis are settling down.
  • Narendra Modi’s Bihar visit and post-visit episodes could be well utilized by the BJP to awake the 84% voters of Bihar with realization campaign that, because they are not united, they are being victimized by minority appeasement politics of Lalu/Nitish/Paswan and Congress. But BJP would not play this gamble, because the party is afraid of using ‘H’ word anymore, and more afraid of doing long-term politics these days. Also because, BJP believes, anything and anyone is better than to give even a remote opportunity to Congress.

    AFTER Nagaland and Mizoram, now it is Manipur which is all planned to be offered at the feet of Jesus Christ and whole of its population should be brought under chruch influence! Let it be politics, the thoughts and the social psyche, everything be controlled by church and its policies!
    
    Most of the Vanvasis of Manipur are already converted to Christianity. Now it is the turn of all the rest, may they have an ancient culture of Vaishnavite cult or whatever, they are being converted unabated.
    

  • Manipur is slowly coming under the grip of church. Its programme ‘Ecoho Night’ was convened by Sumpa Hamangte and Namethaai Thimai on October 6-8, 2009 at the Seminar Hall of MBC Centre, church of Imphal. Many of the church leaders and Pastors were invited to deliver lectures there. Most interesting is its colourful poster which was published with a Cross at the centre with ‘Manipur is for Christ’ as its main slogan. What does it mean? Is it to influence the social psyche of people in Manipur? They erect cross and statues of Jesus on the road side, construct church at prime location of cities to feel people their presence.
    
    Should the people of this country allow the states, one after another to be offered at the feet of Christ or should they follow the path of Eternal Religion or ‘Sanatan Dharma’ which is the core of the society of this country!

    Mumbai, India (AHN) - A host of actors around the world have played the role of German dictator Hitler, much to the chagrin of many who felt that bringing him alive onscreen only furthered his name in public memory.

    

    Be it Charlie Chaplin, Bobby Watson, Steven Berkoff, Robert Carlyle, Bruno Ganz or Sir Alec Guinness, all have played the Nazi dictator onscreen without caring much for what the general public thought about it.

    However, veteran Indian film actor Anupam Kher is refusing to play Hitler in a Hindi film, "Dear Friend Hitler," to be directed by Rakesh Ranjan Kumar. Kher, who was already having second thoughts after first agreeing to play the role, has finally succumbed to calls from various quarters, asking him not to play the greatest dictator of the world.

    Kher said he was ready to compensate the producers of the film by doing another film for them, if they so wished.

  • However, out of all his fans, it was the German mother-in-law of his mentor, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt,whose opinion drove the point home for Kher. He got a call from Bhatt’s mother-in-law, saying, “It is not only the Jews who suffered because of Hitler. The Germans too suffered. I’m one and I know what I went through. Please don’t do anything to further the name of that blot from history.”
