  • Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have urged the district administration to form special squads to check Love Jihad activities in the district.
    
  • Speaking to presspersons here on Monday, VHP vice-president Jagadish Shenava and Dal convener Sharan Pumpwell said it could lead to tensions if activities like Love Jihad was not checked at the nascent stage. Condemning Love Jehad, they said Hindu organizations will counter it if the groups involved in Love Jihad activities fail to put an end to such heinous activities.
  • Love Jihad incidents were being reported mainly from among employees of commercial establishments and cloth stores, inmates of paying guests and hostels and at places like pubs.
  • Majority of the Love Jehad incidents were being reported from cell phone shops and cyber centres.

  • The Orissa High Court on Monday granted bail to BJP MLA Manoj Pradhan from G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district in all 14 cases pending against him in connection with the last year communal violence.
  • The HC granted bail in a case bearing no 207 and 208 that was filed at Raikia Police limits in Kandhamal following the communal riots in the wake of the murder of Hindu seer Swami Laxmananda Saraswati and four of his disciples on August 23, last year.

    सरकारी सांड से पंगा लेने की जुर्रत कौन कर सकता है? यही हाल कॉरपोरेट क्षेत्र में इंडियाबुल्स समूह का है जिसको सरकारी महकमे से बड़ी-बड़ी मंजूरियां आसानी से मिल जाती हैं। यह समूह रीयल एस्टेट, बिजली व रिटेल से लेकर विभिन्न वित्तीय सेवाओं में सक्रिय है।

  • अब आप कहेंगे कि आपके पास क्या प्रमाण है कि इंडिया बुल्स में गांधी परिवार का पैसा लगा है? तो, सचमुच यह खोज पाना मेरे जैसे शख्स के वश की बात नहीं है क्योंकि इंडियाबुल्स के प्रवर्तकों ने 168 कंपनियां बना रखी हैं जिनकी सैकड़ों सब्सिडियरी इकाइयां हैं। जैसे, हाल ही में आईपीओ के जरिए पूंजी बाजार से करीब 1800 करोड़ रुपए जुटाने वाली कंपनी इंडिया बुल्स पावर की 104 सब्सिडियरियां है। इंडियाबुल्स पावर में लक्ष्मी मित्तल से जुड़ी फर्म एलएनएम इंडिया इंटरनेट वेंचर्स की 8.66 फीसदी और अमेरिकी मूल की कंपनी एफआईएम लिमिटेड की 14.44 फीसदी इक्विटी हिस्सेदारी है। समूह के मुख्य प्रवर्तक समीर गहलौत कांग्रेसी सांसद राजीव शुक्ला द्वारा प्रवर्तित कंपनी बीएजी फिल्म्स में 17.95 फीसदी इक्विटी भागीदारी के साथ सबसे बड़े व्यक्तिगत शेयरधारक हैं, क्योंकि इसमें राजीव शुक्ला की हिस्सेदारी 9.27 फीसदी और उनकी पत्नी अनुराधा प्रसाद की भागीदारी 9.77 फीसदी ही है।

The officials, however, have reportedly admitted that Oman Industries and Commerce Minister Maqbool Ali Sultan during his Gandhinagar visit on September 9 had invited Modi to visit Oman.
