Communists 'hijack' Swami Vivekananda
    • Swami Vivekananda's concept about Bharat was a strong, powerful and aggressive Hindu Nation.
    • These are all alien to communists. Communists were never part of this order as there have been instances when they have refused to accept Swami Vivekananda and other national heroes like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and Sardar Patel.

      History shows that the communists threw Vivekananda in the dust bin like a rotten egg, calling him a wild spiritualist. It was the RSS inspired organizations who found Swamiji as a big asset in the exercise of nation building.
    • Now they are forced to change their stand on these great patriots because they realized that other wise they have no existence in this land of spirituality. Undoubtedly the present day communists will recognize Dr Hedgewar and Madhav Sadhashiv Golwalkar in future.

      That means, in future the ideology of communism will be wiped out from Bharatavarsha.

    • The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh has pulled up the vice-chancellor of the state-run Devi Ahilyabai University in Indore for allowing students to interact with Rahul Gandhi without clearance on Monday.

      Madhya Pradesh higher education department secretary Ashish Upadhya today asked vice-chancellor A.S. Sehrawat to explain why he had not taken clearance before inviting a politician.

      The notice came hours after Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the BJP-affiliated students’ wing, accused the AICC general secretary of “politicising” academic campuses. BJP national secretary Prabhat Jha, too, had demanded a clarification from university authorities for letting Rahul “unleash a political discourse”.

    • Sources said a section of the BJP and the RSS had opposed chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s “liberal” stand on Rahul, which they thought allowed the Congress leader a free run. The aggrieved BJP members prevailed upon state higher education minister Laxmikant Sharma to slap a notice on Sehrawat, two days after Rahul’s visit to the state.

    • However if one goes through the letters and edicts issued by Tipu Sultan to his principal military commanders, the governors of forts and provinces, their argument falls apart. The letter of January 19, 1790, sent to Budruz Zuman Khan by Tipu himself says: "Don't you know I have achieved a great victory recently in Malabar and over four lakh Hindus were converted to Islam? I am determined to march against that cursed 'Raman Nair' very soon (reference is to Rama Varma Raja of Travancore). Since I am overjoyed at the prospect of converting him and his subjects to Islam, I have happily abandoned the idea of going back to Srirangapatanam now."
       
      Previously, a letter dated March 22, 1788, to Abdul Kadir reads: "Over 12,000 Hindus were 'honoured' with Islam. There were many Namboodiris (Brahmins) among them. This achievement should be widely publicised among the Hindus. There the local Hindus should be brought before you and then converted to Islam. No Namboodiri (Brahmin) should be spared.” A letter dated January 18, 1790, to Syed Abdul Dulai says: "With the grace of Prophet Muhammed and Allah, almost all Hindus in Calicut are converted to Islam. Only a few are still not converted on the borders of Cochin State. I am determined to convert them also very soon. I consider this as Jehad to achieve that object."
       
      The above clearly, shows the ‘secularism’ of Tipu Sultan. Further, these historians try to portray Tipu as a nationalist as he fought against the British. But the renowned historian, Dr. I.M. Muthanna, says in his ‘Tipu Sultan X-Rayed’ that Tipu was a traitor as he invited the French to invade India.
    • "It was not only against the Brahmins who were thus put in a state of terror of forcible circumcision and conversion; but against all sections of Hindus.
       
      In August, 1788, a Raja of the Kshatriya family of Parappanad and also Trichera Thiruppad, a chieftain of Nilamboor, and many other Hindu nobles who had been carried away earlier to Coimbatore by Tipu Sultan, were forcibly circumcised and forced to eat beef.”

    • Militants from the terrorist group Indian Mujahideen (IM) (above) and the aftermath of a bomb blast in Jaipur, for which IM claimed responsibility
    • Even if the indigenous tag of IM is well suited, it is becoming clearer by the day that IM is a hybrid terrorist group with militants from a number of other terrorist outfits (including SIMI, LeT and HuJI) comprising the group’s core.
    • The IB believes that al-Qaeda and its affiliates have already started their operations with IM/SIMI by setting up sleeper cells, giving a breather to LeT and JeM, whose activities came under international scrutiny following the 26/11 Mumbai events.
    • Undoubtedly, the terror trajectory in India perhaps will take a sharp turn with al-Qaeda’s formal entry into the region by bringing the existing terror groups under one umbrella.  However, the most pressing threat to India in the long term comes from none other than the hybrid and homegrown Indian Mujahideen, as the IM/SIMI combined will provide the necessary space and foot soldiers to the sub-continental terror strategy of the larger LeT and al-Qaeda organizations.
