Why is Sonia Gandhi so scared of Narendra Modi?

Why is Sonia Gandhi so scared of Narendra Modi?:

By Francois Gautier

"Sonia has been on a personal vendetta against Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi for a long time. She had a useful tool in Teesta Setalvad, who, it is now discovered, has bribed witnesses, filed false affidavits, and committed repeated perjuries in court"

Is it logical today that the Indian media only highlight the 2002 Gujarat riots, carefully omitting the fact that they were triggered by the horrifying murder of 57 Hindus, 36 of them innocent women and children, burnt in the Sabarmati Express? Riots of that intensity do not happen in a day; they are the result of long-term pent-up anger and a spark - like the killing of Hindus, whose only crime was that they believed that Ram was born in Ayodhya.

It is widely known that the dreaded Khalistan movement in Punjab was quelled in the '80's by supercop KPS Gill in a ruthless manner by a number of 'fake encounters' that killed top Sikh separatists. This was done under a Congress government, both at the Centre and in Punjab. Rajiv was the PM then, but he was never indicted. This is so because terrorists have no law and they kill innocent people; and sometimes ruthless methods have to be used against them.

Why is Sonia going so single-mindedly against Modi? Because, he seems to be the only alternative to her son Rahul Gandhi becoming prime minister in the next general elections. We should give credit to Sonia for her cunning and ruthlessness.

It is no good being a Hindu in Sonia Gandhi's India. It is better to be a Quattrocchi, who was exonerated by the CBI. Or a terrorist like Sohrabuddin from whose house in Madhya Pradesh 40 AK-47 rifles, and a number of live hand grenades and bullets were confiscated, who was declared "Wanted" in five states with 40 cases registered against him. Then you stand a chance to be protected by the government of India, while those who have at heart their country's integrity go to jail.

Sonia has achieved such terrifying power, a glance of her, a silence, just being there, is enough for her inner circle to act; she has subverted so much of the instruments of Indian democracy and she controls such huge amounts of unlisted money that sooner or later this 'karma' may come back to her under one form or the other.

Symbolic burning of ‘Manusmruti’: Samatavadi Literature Convention: "Thoughts of inequality cannot be just burned. There should be some literature written to defeat Manusmruti. It is needed to crush casteism – these thoughts were expressed by Home Minister, R. R. Patil, while inaugurating the third Samatavadi Literature Convention at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruha yesterday."

Mothers Day got commercialised .: "

Why do I need a particular day to wish my mother ? Every day of mine is for her . I'am nobody with out her, she bought me into this world. I'am made in her , I'am her flesh and blood. My religion thought me that God is manifested thru Mother, so honour mother as living Goddess and do not confine ur love for one single day. If you need an 'occasion' for celebration then celebrate her Birthday .

The Rise and Rise of Narendra Modi

The Rise and Rise of Narendra Modi: "

There is no other way to say this: every blow hurled at Narendra Modi only seems to add to his strength. In the 60+ years post-Independence, no other politician has been the target of sustained vilification and motivated witch-hunting as Narendra Modi. Yet, after every such attempt, he has managed to only emerge stronger. An immediate answer to this phenomenon of moving from strength to strength is the fact that his actions are the only, and powerful critics-silencers. However, the other and more crucial answer is this: exemplary leadership deriving out of the force of personal character. Scan the entire political landscape of India and find us a leader in the true sense of the word.

And this aspect—the force of personal character—is something no intellectual, academic, oped-writer and analyst will tell you because to the progenitors of this class only one leader existed in the Indian political realm till eternity: Jawaharlal Nehru. Expectedly, the dumb intellectual offspring of this class will yell at the “deification” and “idolization” of “personalities” but will not-so-secretly support The Dynasty. Now what are the distinguishing traits of everybody in The Dynasty from The Chacha to The Queen to her Bachelor Brat? Everything other than personal character.

Somebody once said that the history of mankind is simply the aggregation of biographies of eminent people. Everybody who scaled gigantic heights were men of outstanding personal character—from Kautilya to Vidyaranya to Vivekananda to Washington to Lincoln, all of them led by example: when they spoke, people listened and when they wanted something done, people did it without question. No matter what age we live in, fundamental human motivators will remain unchanged as long as humanity exists on this earth.

In an earlier post, I asked:

why does a place like Chennai go berserk with applause over Modi’s speech or why do university students in Bihar abuse and hurl chairs the Crown Prince who insults Narendra Modi?

Name exactly one other leader in India’s political landscape today who evokes this kind of spontaneous support and adulation. Which other Chief Minister openly invites—repeatedly, on TV, newspapers, etc—people to “come to Gujarat?” This is exactly what India for these 60+ years needed: a leader who delivers first and then merely explains how he was able to deliver, instead of hurling empty promises, or to reverse RajivSpeak: hum banake dikhaye hai. The Queen simply talks about “no tolerance for corruption” but continues to preside over the biggest loot this country has ever seen while Modi simply blacklists business houses/people that offer bribes to set up shop in Gujarat: they aren’t given a second chance. This in many ways follows Kautilya’s dictum that evil should be plucked from the very roots and giving a second chance means allowing the danger to lurk beneath the surface. And so, even the most vocal critic of Modi will accuse him of every real and imaginary crime other than corruption and lack of economic development. The best proof is the fact that almost all media outlets kept mum about Gujarat’s staggering development until recently—there are obvious limits to how long you can fabricate facts and/or close your eyes before said development starts to become physically visible.

Today, the last of the strident critics of Modi—and I’m not talking about malevolent monsters like Teesta—while they grudgingly admit his accomplishments, still try and clutch at the 2002 Straw. In a way, the wheel has turned a full circle. Of late, it’s become kinda evident that the opposite of what the Academia-Intellectual-Media (AIM) Complex say about Modi is true.

This transformation didn’t happen overnight.

For most of his 10-year tenure, Modi answered his critics with… silence. He let his work do the talking and allowed the law to take its course. Every investigation has only revealed that he is not guilty of what the self-appointed judges of the AIM Complex continue to accuse him of. But then the Cottage Industry has to survive and so it does what it does best: Exhibit 1. While these worthless AIMs repeatedly peddle the tired old lies, Modi has grown from strength to strength. He’s become a must-have in events like the India Today Conclave and the HT Summit to name two despite the fact that these events are run by outfits that are demonstrably anti-Modi. But there’s a reason: his speeches are fresh and derived from his experience in governance. For instance, when he says that “skills get jobs but knowledge creates jobs,” it holds a familiar echo: knowledge was what always made seekers from all over the world pour into India in the past. When he says that development must be made a mass movement, it rings as refreshingly different in an environment that’s been infested for long years with ruthless socialism, meaningless slogans and crass freebies in that order.

There’s no better demonstration of the power of personal character than this transformation.

Also the fact that he has inspired the Chief Ministers of other states—including Mayawati (yes!)—to give governance, not statues, a chance. There’re only so many years that you can get elected to office on the planks of caste, divisiveness, and hatred. When a Mayawati-voter goes to Gujarat and sees what he sees, he will demand similar things in his state.

In the end, the “ghost of 2002” continues to haunt just the AIM Complex despite their attempts to hoist that ghost on Modi’s shoulder. The ongoing delay tactics to postpone the Supreme Court judgment on the issue just shows their fondness for the Forces of Darkness.

And if this sounds like an unabashed encomium to Narendra Modi, it is. Show me a better candidate. I might change my mind.

HINDUTVA IS NEITHER A RELIGION NOR AN IDEOLOGY. IT IS AN ATTITUDE.

HINDUTVA IS NEITHER A RELIGION NOR AN IDEOLOGY. IT IS AN ATTITUDE.: "

I was reading the Wiki definition of Hindutva http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindutva

Interesting and varied. Despite this, it misses the point.

Hindutva is not a religion, nor an ideology, nor is it somebody’s private property. Hindutva is an attitude that is intrinsic to this land (Bharatvarsh) that stretches from the Himalayas to the southern Peninsula.

Now an attitude is an attitude.. and any description falls short. So first I will go on a drive to communicate what is not Hindutva.

1. Hindutva is not a religion: Critics say that Hindutva is about theocracy. It’ is not. To qualify as a Hindu, you need not believe in any god nor are you instructed or forced to worship in a specific manner.

2. Hindutva is not a ideology: There are no ideas here.. although there are a set of guidelines which one may or may not follow.

3. Hindutva is not fascist: There is no regimentation here. Hindutva offers freedom of choice.

4. Hindutva is not thought control: Several pseudos claim that Hindutva is a regimented outlook towards life. It is not. There may be certain Hindu organisations like HJS, Shiva Sena or RSS which might exercise certain thought control on its members.. However, at large, Hindutva is not thought control.

5. Hindutva is not inspired by Hitler: This is another pseudo allegation. Hindutva existed even before Hitler.

6. Hindutva is not Muslim/Christian/Communist bashing: Hindutva is not anti to anything at all. Hindutva precedes all those negative ideologies and cults.

7. Hindutva is not about violence: Although the violence may be in the service of non-violence. I had to add this because the media projects Hindutva in terms of violence.

Finally, Hindutva is a positive attitude in the service of dharma. Dharma is not religion. Dharma is the sustaining force of nature.

Now let me describe the Hindutva attitude in general with its Sanskrit equivalent:

1. Hindutva is about collective growth — Sanghachadhwam

2. Hindutva is the relentless pursuit of truth — Satyameva Jayate.

3. Hindutva is about positive attitude –Dharmam Chara

4. Hindutva is about a global family — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam

5. Hindutva is about absolute freedom — Atmana Mokshartham.

6. Hindutva is also about worldly welfare — Jagadihithhaya Cha.

7. Hindutva is about multi-dimensional approach to Truth — Ekam Sat Vipra Bahuda vadami.

8. Hindutva is also about a smile that never fades — Sada Manda Hasam

9. Hindutva is about celebration — Truth, Consciousness, Bliss — Sat Chit Ananda

10. The final and most important Hindutva attitude is a prayer for the wellbeing of the Universe of which we are all a part — Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu. After all, the last comes first.
