  • Almost 60 temples in Bhadrachalam division of Khammam district are all set to have archakas to conduct the daily poojas, which these temples have missed over the last many years, for lack of archakas.

  • Looking at this, an NGO organization, Seva Bharathi, decided to revive these old temples and give them back their glory. They set out to find interested priests, who would work in these remote villages, some deep inside the forest adjacent to villages.

     

    But, they could not find even one willing to go to these villages and work. Subsequently, they hit upon an idea, following which they decided to pick up unemployed tribal youths from the villages close to these temples and teach them the rituals of worshipping the deities.
  • Subsequently, all these people were sent to the vedic school for training at Tirupati in the Sweta Bhavan which is run by the TTD. All these 40 students, all tribals from Bhadrachalam, Kunavaram, VR Puram and Chintur mandals of Khammam district, learnt reading slokas, Yoga, Kesanamathi (a ritualistic procedure) besides pooja methods being followed in Tirumala and Bhadrachalam temples.

  • भारत को आजादी 1947 में प्राप्त हुई और चीन पर साम्यवादियों का शासन 1949 में हो गया। उसके पहले तिब्बत भारत का प्रोटेक्टोरेट था। वहां भारत की मुद्रा चलती थी, हमारे डाकघर थे तथा भारतीय सेना की टुकड़ियां थीं। कुल मिला कर वहां भारत का एकाधिकार था जिसे चीन ने हमला कर हड़प लिया।
  • अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुक्त व्यापार के चलते आज चीन की जो मजबूत स्थिति है उसमें कहीं न कहीं हमारी भूमिका भी है। उक्त व्यवस्था के चलते भारत ने चीन से उतनी विदेशी मुद्रा अर्जित नहीं की जितनी कि उसने भारत से। यह बात सत्य है कि चीन भारत से लगभग एक दशक से भी अधिक आगे चल रहा है। आर्थिक हो या सैन्य व्यवस्था, हर स्तर पर वह भारत से बढ़त हासिल किये हुये है। जाहिर है हमें एक वर्ष में यदि 10 वर्षों की दूरी तय करनी है तो वर्तमान गति से 10 गुना से अधिक तेजी से सफर तय करना होगा। इसके लिए हमें अपने आत्मविश्वास को बढ़ाकर आगामी रणनीति तैयार करनी चाहिए। हमें ऐसी व्यवस्था भी तैयार करनी होगी जिसके द्वारा चीन को भारत से कम से कम मुद्रा प्राप्त हो। जैसे चीनी उत्पादों पर करों के माध्यम से तथा भारतीय उत्पादों को सरकारी सुविधाएं  प्रदान करके। इससे भारतीय उत्पादों को अपने देश के ही बाजार में पर्याप्त स्थान प्राप्त हो सकेंगे।

  • The logic of the Muslim plea that they cannot bow to any form of divinity other than Allah is well-taken; if their religion prohibits it, so be it.

    
    If devout believers wish to adhere by the tenets of their faith as best as they can in a land in which they constitute a minority (Allah be praised for this significant mercy), and if this involves keeping a sharp distance from the national ethos and majority community, it follows that Muslims must disengage from participation in the Indian polity.

    
    Far from contesting elections by canvassing votes from the non-believing (Kafir) majority, much less demanding reserved seats in the Parliament and State Assemblies, Muslims must live only religious lives if they consent to be guided by an ulema that insists that Religion Alone defines their identity.

  • What Jamiat achieved – and we must see it that way – was to release the rest of us from the burden of further accommodating Muslim separatism. We cannot tell Muslims how to live, and in any case, it would be far more rewarding for Hindus to resolve their own social problems like dowry and female foeticide before pontificating on the value or demerit of the Muslim veil. But we can refuse to permit the extension of mullah fiat in the national domain.
  • The forthcoming winter session of Parliament, where the Sonia Gandhi-led UPA is likely to bring in legislation to provide public sector job reservation for Muslims, will be crucial in the battle to defeat Muslim Separatism, Part II. 

  • Here again, it would be pertinent to note that if Christian missionaries can convert 10 percent of the Srinagar Valley to Christianity, this suggests that a huge population is waiting to abandon Islam. The task surely is to bring them back to the Hindu fold.

    
    Finally, Hindus must insist that henceforth there will be no conversion in mixed marriages except to the majority faith, and no more ‘love jihad.’

  • What was the compulsive necessity for making such an announcement while the home minister was there to have a plateful of appeasement biryani in hope of garnering their votes for a 21st-century government?
    
    One explanation that has come to us through Deoband observers is frighteningly pregnant with serious consequences to our already strained social fabric. The Congress wants to create another monster out of Muslim fanatics to further erode Mayawati's vote bank and simultaneously distract public attention from its failure on the Maoist front and keep the public debate away from the price rise. These are the issues it couldn't handle; hence, the distraction was immediately needed. And the way fanatics helped the British before India was vivisected, the maulvis have obliged the party in power. It's advisable not to get trapped in this political lunacy, but then the media will be taking it up in a big way for certain unexplained reasons and there will be obvious reactions and diatribes from both sides to keep the issue alive.
    
    Public memory shouldn't be too thin. Remember how Bhindranwale was created, the statements about his "saintliness", the permission to his brigands to roam free through Delhi's roads brandishing AK-47s on top of buses. And then only too recently, Raj Thackeray was propped up to counter Shiv Sena-BJP's growth in the Maratha land.

  • आज चीन क्षेत्रफल में भारत से तीन गुणा बड़ा है। आबादी भी अधिक है। लेकिन इतना बड़ा होकर भी कृषियोग्य भूमि उसके पास कम है। हथियारों के जखीरे और परमाणु आयुधों के भण्डार से चीन अहिंसक पड़ोसियों के मन में भय और शरीर में सिहरन तो पैदा कर सकता है किन्तु अपने निवासियों को दो जून की रोटी नहीं दे सकता है। भारत के पास 19 करोड़ हेक्टेयर कृषि भूमि है जबकि अपनी विशालता के बावजूद भी चीन के पास मात्र 12.4 करोड़ हेक्टेयर कृषि योग्य भूमि है। इसलिए उसकी नजर सुजला सुफला भारत भूमि पर है। अपनी विशाल सेना और भारत के हर कोने में उपस्थित अपने मुखर एवं हिंसक समर्थकों के बल पर वह एक बार फिर से भारत को रौंदना चाहता है।
  • क्या हमारी सरकार इस हद तक दहशत में है कि पीड़ित होकर भी पीड़क के स्वर में स्वर मिला रही है? लगता है कि बीजिंग के प्रति उसकी भयजनित प्रीति ने उसे अरिपूजक बनने के लिए मजबूर कर दिया है। निष्कर्ष यह है कि चीन और भारत पुन: 1962 की भूमिका में हैं। क्या इतिहास पुन: स्वयं को दुहराना चाहता है? उत्तर-पूर्व से लेकर उत्तर-पश्चिम तक की सीमा का शत्रु अभ्यारण्य में बदल जाना इसी दिशा की ओर अमंगल संदेश दे रहा है।
