Mr. Pramod Mutalik and other dignitaries in the Press Conference
    • Mr. Mutalik said that false accusations have been made against Sadhvi Pragnya Singh and she has been implicated in the Malegaon bomb blast case. She has been treated so badly that her health is very bad. Why is she being oppressed when the accusations have not yet been proved? Does she not have any human rights? Why the media is silent on this issue? On one side, all facilities are provided to Kasab and on the other, Sadhvi Pragya Singh is tortured; what kind of justice is this?

The petition filed without submitting any evidence has been dismissed by Judge J. N. Patel. The above news was published by ‘Dainik Saamna’.

Is god a brothel keeper, wonders ex-law minister and triggers row

    • Former union law minister Ram Jethmalani Saturday kicked up a row at an international conference on terrorism, asking if Islam’s jehadi doctrine does not virtually render “god a brothel keeper”, prompting a Saudi Arabian envoy to walk out of the conference.
Addressing the seminar, Jethmalani wondered if the jehadi doctrine, propagating the belief allegedly held by Islam’s Wahab sect that Muslims attaining martyrdom while fighting non-Muslims “get a place in heaven and the company of the opposite sex there”, does not amount to saying that “god is a brothel keeper”.

The self-confessed maverick legal hawk also went on to equate god as someone “suffering with Alzheimer’s disease”, while advising the Indian government and the international community against trusting god in fighting terrorism.

    • “I have read that shora thousands of times, but I have not found anything wrong in it. But, according to Wahab, all other people, including Christians, Jews and Hindus, and even Shias have forfeited their rights to live,” said Jethmalani.

    • he Hindon river can literally breathe easy now. Civic authorities here Friday launched a huge ‘prayer chamber’ along the river banks especially designed to immerse puja ritual materials like flowers and ash – in a move to clean up the river and reduce pollution.

Called ‘Hawan Kund’, the chamber has been filled with water from the Ganga river, considered sacred to the Hindus. Apart from constructing a separate chamber, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has also introduced special carrier vehicles to pick up the left-over prayer materials from temples and homes across Ghaziabad.

    • And to save people the trouble of coming all the way to the Hindon to dispose off religious waste, the municial corporation has installed ‘prayer boxes’ in various temples located in different areas.
    • The telephone numbers of the disposal service would be painted on the carrier vehicles so that people can even call them to their homes to collect the waste.
