Setting up of the 'Forum' headed by firebrand radical trade union leader Nehaluddin Ahmad was seen as an angry expression of minority community's feelings both against Congress and its Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao

    • The practice of organising Iftaar in Uttar Pradesh was started in the 1970s when then chief minister H N Bahuguna organised one such Iftaar party for the rozedars. Later Indira Gandhi used it for wooing the Muslim community. Since then, it became an annual feature for different political parties and their eminent to organise such functions.

    • "When we were thinking about who would perform Nanhe's last rites as there was no male member in his family, Mangri came forward and expressed her desire to carry out the last rites," said Suresh Baiswar, a primary school teacher in the village.
    • The residents of Bhagwatpur village even raised funds for the last rites.

चीन की मंशा भारत को कमजोर करना : योगी आदित्यनाथ :: सहारा समय

  • tags: no_tag

Organiser - TogadiaSpeak - No human rights for Hindus even in Hindustan!

No human rights for Hindus even in Hindustan!

      By Dr Pravin Togadia
    • When any of us speaks of how the Kashmiri Pundits were hoarded out of their houses, farms, lands and businesses by jehadis and how it was written on their ladies’ breasts to leave Hindu and Sikh women back for the jehadis, some show-case pseudo secularists tell us to stop speaking of history. Kashmiri Pundits’ plight is as recent as in 1990 and it is not history. Jammu Kashmir border Hindus, Hindu labourers from U.P., Bihar, Rajasthan working there are still facing the same jehadi religious cleansing there, everyday our army/policemen die there.
    • Same fate is being faced by over 100,000 Assamese Hindus. They have been forced to live in the rehabilitation centers after losing their loved ones, losing their land and businesses to the invader Muslims from Bangladesh. These Bangladeshi Muslims have captured India’s vast lands chasing out native Hindus and tribals there like Karbi Anglong and others. But vote bank greedy political parties are wooing those same invading Muslims for bunch of votes and almost all parties are trying to give them even citizen’s rights!
    • They don’t even get voting rights in spite of being Indian citizens as their belongings including their documents are lost in the mayhem of the attacks; but invading jehadis are not only given Indian ration cards but also voting cards. No Human Rights of these displaced Hindus of Assam?
    • In many places from Hyderabad to Meerut and from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Hindus are being persecuted by Muslims, are threatened and made to abandon their property. Some rich Muslims are forcibly taking signatures of Hindus on the transfer papers. Over 50,000 Hindu girls have been abducted by Muslims in the past three years. No Human Rights protection against this larger conspiracy. It has become a fashion to abuse Hindus, laugh at Hindus after hurting their sentiments and after even killing them. It has become a planned conspiracy of jehadi groups and supporting political parties to first attack 3-4 Hindus or rape a Hindu girl or break a Hindu religious structure.
    • Irrespective of any political party affiliation, irrespective of any caste and community, Hindu can stand up democratically and Hindu would. It would not take much time for Hindus to democratically form their own national and international Hindu Rights Commission and other such systems. If the Caste Panchayats and Sharia are accepted in judiciary then the Hindus Human Rights Commission also must be accepted.

Usual Suspects: How to create a hostile

  • tags: no_tag

    • I do not subscribe to everything Jaswant Singh has written in his book. However, it is a sad day for the country if participation in public life through mainstream political parties is regulated by intellectual regimentation. His book was an honest scholastic exercise. He should not be punished for it.
    • Political parties must not become arbiters of historical interpretation. Their involvement can only shrink the boundaries of honest appraisal--just as it has done in the academic world where Marxists call the shots.
    • The BJP is in favour of creating a broad church--what it calls inclusive Hindutva. Can you be inclusive if you cannot be accommodative towards an attempt to write history? Far from being a broad church, the BJP gives the impression of being a sect. Its factional wars are resembling battles for the control of a mutt (seminary).
    • POSTSCRIPT:
I had the occasion to read through the document the media is presenting as the Bal Apte report. Either Mr Apte did an extremely shoddy job and is unsuited to the task of inquiring into the 2009 election defeat or this document is a clear forgery. The document is a collection of homilies, supplemented with obvious statistics to make it look impressive. Even some tentwalla retainer could have written it based on press clippings.

India Retold: REMEMBERING RAJIV: CONGRESS IS WORSE THAN MAYAWATI

  • tags: no_tag

    • Mayawati has been in the cross hairs of the media's sights for constructing dalit memorials at state expense. Much has been written and spoken about how she is mindlessly squandering public money on building her own statues. In a recent program on NDTV, a very agitated Prannoy Roy called for a complete ban on such activities because they utilise the tax payers' money for furthering the cause of a political party. With a straight face, Salman Khursheed of the Congress party agreed with him completely.
    • Today is Rajiv Gandhi's birthday. Without a worry about what the much flogged "aam aadmi" might say or feel, the Congress party is brazenly using the occasion to make maximum possible political capital of it at state expense. Newspapers have been saturated with advertisements by various departments of the central government to sell Rajiv Gandhi to India. Examples of two newspapers published from New Delhi should give you an idea of how the minds of Indians have been carpet bombed by the Congress today with Rajiv ads:
    • This is not the first time that this has been done. Nor is Rajiv Gandhi the only one who is so remembered. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi are also so remembered on their birthdays and death anniversaries at government expense, and this has been going on for decades. Has the media ever complained? Is it complaining even now, in the light of its own moral outrage at what Mayawati is doing?
    • How can it? It is raking in the moolah by publishing these advertisements. You don't criticise the "hand" that feeds you, do you? If someone carries out a detailed analysis of how much money has been spent by the government - and paid to the media - over the years, the mind boggling figures will expose one reason why large sections of the media find it almost impossible to be objective and unbiased in their political reporting and analysis.
    • It also needs to be remembered that it was the Congress party that started this ugly culture of creating memorials for political leaders and the naming of roads, bridges, airports, buildings and what have you, after them. Mayawati was not wrong when she tauntingly said that the real estate value of the three sprawling samadhis built in Delhi for Nehru, Indira and Rajiv far exceeds the amount that is being spent by her for building dalit memorials.
