Haindava Keralam - Jihadi's digging their own grave, Three temples Vandalised in Kasargode

  • tags: no_tag

    • ihadi terrorists in Kasargode attacked three Temples, giving clear indications of their evil intentions in store against Hindus in Kerala. The Jihadi terrorists vandalised temple premises by painting green colour in temple premises.

In the famous Malikarjuna temple near KSRTC Bus stand in Kasargode city, Jihadi terrorists painted green over saffron colour paint and drew stars.
    • Kasargode:
    • As the news spread thousands of Hindus from different parts of district started flowing to city centre and protested against this open challenge against Hinduism by Jihadis. Thousands took part in the protest march organised under Hindu organisations. Shops were all closed in the Municipality area following. Jihadis pelted stones against the protest march hiding inside mosques and other Jihadi strongholds including the Market.
    • In Kasargode, Jihadis are testing the waters to sense the Hindu response against such attacks prior to implementing massive riot in the area.
    • If  Kerala Government cannot provide security to Hindus and our temples in the state , Hindus will be forced to take law in hand to protect our spiritual - cultural abode and our kith and kin from Jihadi intolerance.

And for the media both visual and printing, Such attacks against Hindu temples are to be better avoided as it will be a blot on their secular status. For Kerala medias who runs editorial against ’so called’ Church vandalisms in North India , attacks against temples under their nose are not of any news value!

Hindu Nationalists in India Plan 'Religious Cleansing'
    • Shireen Bhatia

      Compass Direct News

    • Hindu nationalist organizations in Madhya Pradesh state have declared their intentions to rid Mandla district of all Christian influence by starting preparations for a large "reconversion" event next year.

A similar event in Dangs district, Gujarat state in 2006 was filled with Christian hate speech. As a result of anti-Christian sentiment stirred at the April 22 ground-breaking ceremony for the Madhya Pradesh "reconversion" rally to be held next February, Hindu nationalists attacked a house church in the district's Bamhni Banjar village on May 2, Christian leaders said.

More than 100 Hindu devotees from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra attended the ground-breaking ceremony in Mandla, reported Patrika newspaper. A source present disclosed that leaders announced a list of objectives to be achieved before the festival, with one prominent agenda item being to drive away Christian pastors, evangelists and foreign aid workers from the district.
    • Kumbh Damage

Organizers of the kumbh hope for some 2 million participants, though attendance at such events often falls short of projections.

Originally the kumbh was a gathering of holy men to discuss Hinduism. Since then Hindu nationalists led by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have steered the traditional definition toward their own ends. RSS leader Mukund Rao said the "social kumbh" began in 2006 with the Shabri Kumbh in Dangs, Gujarat - described as an attempt to counter the influence of foreign Christian workers in the area. It resulted in propaganda against Christians and heightened tensions.

    • A Compact Disc produced by the Shabri Kumbh Samaroh Aayojan Samiti (Organizing Committee) entitled "Shri Shabri Kumbh 2006: Spirituality along with the Wave of Patriotism," was banned by the Supreme Court of India because it incites "Hindus against the Christian community and suggests that Christians be attacked and beheaded."

Bangles & bindis divide ruling saffron combine in civic body - dnaindia.com

  • tags: no_tag

    • Linah Baliga / DNA
    • Mumbai:
    • Hindu girl students of 150 convents in the city wearing bindis and bangles to school? There are voices for it, and there are voices against. The debate, it seems, will either rage on or die down, because there is a difference of opinion within the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance ruling the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
    • The saffron partners have varying takes on the bindi-and-bangles issue. Rukmini Kharatmol of the BJP, chairperson of the BMC education committee, said she had no intention of placing such a “flimsy” proposal before the state education department. BJP group leader Ashish Shelar supported her.

But Mumbai BJP president Gopal Shetty and Shiv Sena corporator Raju Pednekar were all for Hindu girl students of state-aided convents schools wearing bindis and bangles, along with school uniform.

“No school can be deregistered for not allowing girl students to wear bindis and bangles. How many Hindu schools allow girls to wear bindis and bangles,” Shelar asked.

    • His party colleague, Shetty, begged to differ. “This idea must be implemented for the sake of national interest. This Indian identity should continue to exist in society. The Supreme Court has allowed Muslim students of the Aligarh Muslim University to sport long beards. Then why stop Hindu girls from wearing bindis and bangles?” Shetty countered.

Sena corporator Pednekar said, “We have an issue about convent schools taking aid from the BMC, but following only their own rules. We are not saying that it should be made compulsory for Hindu students to wear bindis and bangles. But if they want to wear them, the schools should not oppose.”

I feel a sense of home in India: Mitchell - The Times of India

Radha Mitchell
  • Australian actor Radha Mitchell’s movie The Waiting City was screened at the 2010 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). She tells TOI why she calls India her home, her decision to adopt a kid and more:

How many times have you been quizzed about your lengthy Indian name – Radha Rani Amber Indigo Anunda Mitchell?

I’ve been answering this question ever since I was a kid. In fact, on the first day of my school, someone even thought my name was Macaroni. But yes, people do want to know why I have this long name. I think I had a connection with India in my past life. My mother travelled India before I was born, out of her love and fascination for the country. Inspired by Indian philosophy, my mother’s quest has been to explore Buddhism and Hinduism. She stepped out of her Christian upbringing to explore these, which was difficult. So it is correct when I say my name is a creative byproduct of my mom’s experience in 1970s.

Any benefits of having this name?

I have the option of choosing any one of my five names. It is good if you need a pseudonym while staying at a hotel. That’s when I proudly say, ‘I have five names’. It helps a lot.

    • There is something special about the saree. It was special to wear it at the end of the film The Waiting City. You feel like a goddess when you drape it; won’t make much sense to those who haven’t worn it ever. during my recent visit to india, i attended the Kumbh Mela and got to stay in Delhi too. The capital is a great city. I adore it for its history, public transport and I am in awe of the Red Fort.
    • Do you feel any sense of belonging towards India?

In a way, yes. There is something all embracing about India. Everybody can find a place there. There is a room for everybody. I feel a sense of home in India. I’m aware of the impact of the works of Satyajit Ray and my next project will also have an Indian connect. Based on the book Holy Cow, it will explore different aspects of Indian spirituality.
Sumptuous-looking... <i>The Waiting City</i> features Radha Mitchell and Joel Edgerton as a couple who go to Kolkata to adopt a child.
