जब श्रीलंका ने तमिल चीतों पर निर्णायक हमला बोलने का निर्णय लिया तब कई लोगों को आश्चर्य हुआ था, कि आखिर श्रीलंका कैसे यह कर सकेगा। लेकिन इलाके पर बारीक नज़र रखने वाले विशेषज्ञ जानते थे कि चीन का हाथ अब पूरी तरह से श्रीलंका की पीठ पर है और प्रभाकरन सिर्फ़ कुछ ही दिनों का मेहमान है। चीन की मदद से न सिर्फ़ श्रीलंका ने जफ़ना और त्रिंकोमाली पर पकड़ मजबूत कर ली बल्कि “अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय आवाजों” और “पश्चिम की चिंताओं” की परवाह भी नहीं की।

It is know to the people of Kandhamal that Swamiji had frequent tussles with the Christians leaders since his entry into Kandhamal way back in 1969. He had vehementally opposed conversions of Hindus into Christians. “Christian’s attacked him ten times earlier and he was killed on the eleventh attack”, he said. The previous attack on him was on December 24, 2009 in Darangbadi where Christian leader RK Naik has a strong hold.
Nath alleged that Christian leaders were considering Swami a hurdle to carry their agenda of conversions. He had time and again exposed the fake SC-ST certificates used by the Christians to avail the benefit of the government reservation.
Nath said a delegation of Peace Mission approached me to restore peace in Kandhamal. ”I asked them to first ensure to stop conversion of Hindus into Christianity to start peace process in the district. They returned back without commenting anything”, he said.
But, they get defensive when asked ”why Orissa government, where BJP was also a constituent, had withdrawn security cover just five days before his murder?”.

Prachanda should have read Mao more carefully. He adopted a non-Nepali revolutionary leader of a neighbouring country as his hero and named his band of terrorists People's Liberation Army (PLA), exactly after the Chinese Communist army. But he forgot to do his homework. Mao had always warned against taking action "in haste" and "impetuously". His famous line: "We should not be impetuous; impetuosity leads only to failure."
This time Mao proved true for his errant follower.

1. Both India and China started in the 1950s as bureaucrat-dominated States.
2. But China faces a different kind of a problem. In India individual opportunities are not equal, but in China they are to some extent. But in India, regional opportunities are more equal than in China.
3. The educated Indian youth had a head start over the Chinese youth because of its command of the English language.
4. This phenomenon was reflected in the educational sector. In India, IT Schools, business management and financial services schools, hospitality sector schools etc mushroomed. In China technical schools imparting manufacturing and industrial skills grew up.
5. The economic development in the two countries took different paths. In China, the emphasis was on the development of exports-dependent and exports-driven manufacturing sector and infrastructure development. In India, it was on Indian consumer- dependent and driven manufacturing sector and the services sector. China's is a skills-driven economy. India's is a knowledge-driven economy. Infrastructure development has been rotten in India.
6. As the manufacturing sector and its exports boomed in China, linkages developed between the Chinese and US economies.
7. While the Indian manufacturing sector has no unhealthy dependence on the US market, the continued prosperity of the Indian IT sector is linked to the US services sector and the policies of the Obama Administration in matters such as outsourcing.
8. India being a democratic state, the needs of the common man have priority over the needs of the State. China being an authoritarian State with aspirations of becoming the strategic equal of the US, the needs of the State have priority over those of the common man.
9. It is not as if China is not paying adequate attention to the IT sector. It is, but its focus is on the use of its IT capabilities for strategic dominance. India's development of its IT capabilities is for the benefit of the common man. China has been concentrating more on the malign uses of its IT capabilities by way of producing a capable corps of hackers and cyber warriors.

कामरेड की मां
from पुण्य प्रसून बाजपेयी by ये वाक्या ठीक एक साल पहले का है । कामरेड नक्सली संगठन सीपीआई माओवादी का पोलित ब्यूरो सदस्य है। दो साल पहले कामरेड की 82 साल की मां की हालत बिगडती गयी तो भूमिगत गतिविधियो को छोड़कर या कहें लगातार आंध्र प्रदेश से बंगाल-बिहार में अपने नक्सली संगठन को मजबूती देने में लगे कामरेड को मां की सेवा में शहर लौटना पड़ा । क्योंकि बाकी तीनों भाई या छह बहनें देश की मुख्यधारा से जुड़ कर उस व्यवस्था में जीने की जद्दोजहद कर रहे थे, जहां नौकरी से लेकर उनके अपने परिवार इस सच को नही मान पा रहे थे कि बुढी हो चली मां की सेवा के लिये भी वक्त निकाला जाना चाहिए ।
मेरे दृ्ष्टिकोण से, जिस प्रकार घडियों के एकीकरण के लिए मानक समय का नियम लागू किया गया है, अगर उसी प्रकार पर्वों के लिए मानक अक्षांश तथा रेखांश स्थापित कर दिए जाए तो फिर पर्व/त्योहारों का एकीकरण संभव हो सकता है।
नायक भी किसी की नकल कर सकते है
