Congress proposes, Deoband disposes - It does not stop at 49.5 percent

  • tags: no_tag

    • After remaining on the fence for several months, the powerful Deoband seminary finally came out with their opinion on the issue
    • That pretty much sealed the deal on the issue. After this, assorted UPA ministers and spokespersons were seen furiously backpedalling. Suddenly they were all consensus seeking friendly debators who would never push an issue without consultation with all sections of the society:
    • So, why did the secular party raise the bogey in the first place?
    • The answer is quite simple - this manoeuvre alone can create a sizable vote bank for the party.

My guess is Congress govt will never legitimize homosexuality.
I feel that Congress raked up this tamasha now because it is getting some resentment from Muslims when Salman Khurshid ruled out reservation for them.

So now congress raked up this issue to create the fear of "islamic values in danger" in them. And after some drama, the legislation will be postponed indefinitely until again the need comes for pacifying muslim resentment.
Besides RJD,BSP,SP,JD(S),TMC and Communists are there forever waiting like vultures to grab Muslim votebank away from Congress at the slightest hint of rift b/n them. Though HC has given judgement legalizing gay sex, I am getting a feeling that this might just become another "Shah Bano".

And coming back to the root cause of this tamasha, I don't think Congress can ever implement reservation for Muslims (atleast until their votebank increases considerably from already alarming 15%) because it will create severe resentment in the upper castes, forward castes and OBCs. And none of the vultures above also can implement the muslim reservation bill. Will yadavs ever vote for SP and RJD if they do that? Nope. I think even Dalits won't vote for BSP ever if it vocally supports the muslim reservation bill. Same goes for vokkaligas votebank of JD(S) in Karnataka and other hindu votebank of Commies in west-bengal and kerala.

Now that HC had legalized gay-sex, I am getting a feeling that this will become another "shah bano".

By the way mainstream media completely ignored other muslim-concerned news item.
Now muslim haj passports won't need any police verification.
