Kuntalnagar: Political awareness camp at St. Antonys Church

  • The Catholic Sabha of the Udupi Ward organized a Political Awareness Camp in St. Antonys Church Hall, Kuntalnagar on Sunday, 16th August 2009 at 3.30PM. Mr. Gerald Fernandes, the In-charge President of the Udupi District Panchayat was the resource person.
  • In his inaugural address, Fr. Charles Lewis, the parish priest of St. Antonys Church, Kuntalnagar pointed out that Christians should take interest in politics and become leaders and lead the community as Good Shepherds.
  
  • Pointing out the role of Christians in politics, Mr. Gerald said that more and more people from the Christian community should take interest in political affairs. He appealed them to be members of other social and cultural organizations along with church associations.
