Permission to celebrate Shiv-jayanti in Parliament premises has been declined !: "Shiv-jayanti is falling on 22nd March as per the Hindu calendar. Mr. Manohar Joshi, a Shiv Sena MP sought permission of the Director (Security) K. Vijaykumar, through a letter dated 7th March, for celebrating Shiv-jayanti by offering flowers to the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the premises of the Parliament House. The permission has, however, been declined by giving security reasons."
