  • Now let us zero in on the facts: All the three Ms (Marxists, Mullahs and Missionaries) swear by a holy book (Communist Manifesto, Koran and Bible in that order.  All the three Ms have a particular messiah (Karl Marx, Mohammed and Jesus in that order). All the three Ms fervently believe that their path is the only path.  All the three Ms divide the world into believers and non-believers. The followers of all the three Ms seriously believe that belief in their ideologies is the highest. To put it in a single word, all the three Ms are belief systems.
  • The three Ms believe in conversion of the Other — which results in violence of both gross and subtle nature.
  • Postscript: I am not the first person to says that Muslims, Christians and Communists are mental patients.  H G Wells said it long back.  I am only repeating his words.

  • Below is a story about EVMS and some unanswered questions…in the words of Anupam and Prof M Nalapat. Do read and think about it. Reading about what they uncovered made me feel very uneasy…

  • From Tracking the Elections 2009 (emphasis mine):

    Elections were held in 5 phases across India. The last phase of polling was completed on the 13th of May 2009. The counting of votes was to begin on the 16th of May 2009.

  • The excel spreadsheets on candidate information for all India downloaded from the ECI website between the 6th and 15th of May had “coded” Candidate Names, Party Names and votes polled.

    • If data in these files was test/dummy data, how does it match the winners in 108 constituencies or 106 according to another analysis?
      

    …

    • If the the data in these files was test/dummy data, what was it testing? Why was this test taking place during the polling period?
    • What tests were these that required only some data to keep changing and others to remain unchanging?

  • After allocating Rs. 25 crore (Rs.250 million) for two more campuses of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the government is planning to set up three more universities for the country's minorities, according to officials.
  • These universities will be set up in Mysore (Karnataka), Kishanganj (Bihar) and Ajmer (Rajasthan).
    
    According to the official, "Fifty percent of the seats in these universities will be reserved for minority students to make them more competitive in the job market."

  • अपने गले में भ्रष्टाचार की सूचना देती तख्ती लिये घूम रही कल्पना भारद्वाज आशियाना न होने का दर्द बखूबी भुगत रही हैं। एक आशियाने के लिए कल्पना जे भारद्वाज ने नोएडा प्राधिकरण से एक प्लॉट 1999 में लिया था। ड्रा में नाम निकलने के बाद भी अब तक उन्हें प्लॉट पर कब्जा नहीं मिला है।
  • कल्पना की कहानी बताती है कि एक तो लोगों को महानगरों में जमीन का एक टुकड़ा नसीब नहीं होता लेकिन अगर नसीब हो भी जाए तो सरकारी भ्रष्ट तंत्र और अधिकारी कमजोर लोगों को किस तरह से परेशान करते हैं. कल्पना को न्याय मिलेगा या नहीं इसे तो प्रशासन ही ज्यादा बेहतर विश्लेषित कर सकता है लेकिन कल्पना की हिम्मत और भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ उनकी मुखर आवाज बहुत सारे लोगों को प्रेरित कर सकता है कि वे भी भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ अपने दम पर अभियान छेड़ सकते हैं.
