Judge Tahiliyani instructed Kasab to be serious during the proceedings; but it does not appear to have any effect on him. We should find out the meaning behind his Jihadi laugh.
Muslim League had a slogan in 1947 which meant that ‘We got Pakistan after fighting we would capture Hindustan just smilingly’. British had left Bharat (India) through ‘Gate Way of India’ and Ajamal Kasab and his associates also had entered Bharat through the same route on 26/11. Muslim League had demanded that as British had captured their kingdom they should hand it over to them only while leaving Bharat. Muslims do not forget their demands or turn back on them easily as they have tremendous will power. We forgot exactly that and we were not at all vigilant to protect our western coast. We are in a hurry to forget the past. We have also imbibed the virtue of forgetting the crimes of the criminals.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said recently that we should forget the riot and the killings of Sikhs in 1984. This type of advice is apt when the culprits are punished for their crime; but the Congressmen were instrumental in starting the said riot; hence the question of punishing them does not arise. Since Kasab knows that all crimes by Muslims and Congressmen are pardoned in a country following Gandhi philosophy, he dares to laugh
