    • A song based on Hindus’ auspicious Mantra ‘Hare Krushna Hare Ram’ in film ‘Bhul Bhulaiyya’ was picturised in a vulgar way . When Hindus reacted to that then it was changed. Despite this without learning a lesson from this experience, they have again made mockery of the Mantra, ‘Om Mangalam Garud Dhvajam’ by picturising in very vulgarly way in the new film ‘Kambakht Ishq’, starring Akshay Kumar acting in it. They have mocked at very auspicious Mantra in Hindu Dharma.

Devout Hindus stop the show of 'Kambakht Ishq' for 30 minutes since the objectionable portion was not deleted

In most of the scenes in this film, there is mockery of "Om Mangalam Garud-dhvajam"
    • Panvel (Maharashtra)
    • A Hindi film titled 'Kambakht Ishq' starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapur was released today. A show of this film was stopped by devout Hindus for 30 minutes at 'Cineraj' Theatre with the help of the police since the indecent objectionable song making mockery of Hindu mantra was not deleted from the film. The show was re-started after deletion of the said song from the film.
    • Shri. Sachin Kaulkar, a representative of 'Dainik Sanatan Prabhat' and Shri. Ahitosh Kamble of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) watched the 12.30 show of the film at Cineraj theatre. They observed that after the interval, the sacred Hindu 'mantra' 'Om Mangalam Garudadvajam.....’ was ridiculed and converted into a song set to western music.
    • Notice boards were displayed outside 'Cineraj' Theatre informing people about deletion of a song from a Hindi film 'Kambakht Ishq' due to its ridiculing sacred Hindu mantra. The duration of this song is 6-7 minutes. In this theatre, the song was shortened to 2-1/2 minutes. It is also shown that whenever actor Akshay Kumar is able to hear the 'mantra', he becomes frenetic and starts breaking things in his house. Also, it is referred to as 'This bloody mantra' in the film. There is absolutely no relevance of this mantra to the story of the film and they have been unnecessarily included. The mantra is sung not only in a song but is also used as background music. This film is full of vulgarity.
