- The Hindu Munnani will install 1008 idols of Lord Ganesha in Erode district on Vinayaka Chathurthi day on August 23, of which 108 would be in this city itself, a top district functionary of the Munnani said here today.
Erode district Hindu Munnani organiser K. Poosappan said paper and clay idols would be installed in all places, taken in processions after one week and immersed in tanks, ponds and Rivers in various areas.
