- Administration of Mosques pays the salary of the Imams at present. In 1993 the Supreme Court had given an ordinance in which it was mentioned, “Imams in the country should be paid by the Vakfa Mandal.” So in order to apply the same ordinance of the court in Maharashtra too as it has been done in other States in the Country, President of Bharatiya Moulana Sanghatana, Maulana Jamil Ahamad Iliyasi is conducting meetings of Imams all over the country. He discussed this issue with Sarsanghachalak Mr. Mohan Bhagvat and former Sarsanghachalak, Mr. K. Sudarshan recently in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
- Iliyasi has given this information to the Journalists about the acceptance of the Sarsanghachalak to support their demand.
