Telegraph Nepal : 1 million Hindus converted to Christianity after Nepal declared Secular: Thapa

  • tags: no_tag

    • The Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Mr. Kamal Thapa has dubbed the High Level Political Mechanism-HLPM as an alliance between those who were the victims of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Nepal’s southern neighbor, India.
    • “The HLPM has been strategically structured to derail the current government and extend the tenure of the Constituent Assembly for sure”, also said Thapa who is taken as the lone crusader of the revival of the now sidelined Nepal Monarchy.
    • Thapa also told the Madhesi population that referendum was needed to decide the fate of Hindu State, Constitutional Monarchy and Federalism.

“How can few political parties hold closed door meet and decide all of a sudden that the country has become a secular one”, Thapa questioned.

      Sounds logical!

“After the country was declared a Secular Republic, some 1 Million plus Hindus have already been converted to Christianity”, Thapa said adding, “In fifty years time, Nepal will have completely lost its Hindu identity.”

Ulema, VHP raise the heat, Diggi’s man unfazed

    • A day ahead of Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s planned visit to this terror-tainted eastern UP town, tension mounted in Azamgarh, with the Ulema Council vowing not to allow the Congress leader to enter Sanjarpur to meet the families of those accused in terror attacks. The pro-Hindu outfits also slammed Singh’s trip as a gimmick to corner Muslim votes.

Calling the visit an eyewash, the Ulema Council alleged it was only after constant visits by Congressmen in the area for the past few days that a boy from Azamgarh was recently arrested.

The Ulema Council is a body of clerics formed in the backdrop of the Batla House encounter just before the Lok Sabha elections. The outfit failed to win a single seat although it had fielded six candidates. Council chief Maualana Amir Rashadi, who runs a madrasa, Jamiatur Rashad, in Azamgarh, had led two massive rallies in New Delhi and Lucknow to demand justice for the families of the alleged Indian Mujahideen activists living in Azamgarh.

    • Pro-Hindu outfits like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Hindu Yuva Vahini too opposed the visit, alleging it would encourage terrorism. Vahini even asked for the arrest of Singh for meeting the families of the terror accused just as people were arrested for meeting Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a key accused in Malegaon blasts.

    • Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has demanded the resignation of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan for his alleged involvement in a Rs.105-crore bank fraud.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, he said Mr. Khan was indicted for writing off loans extended by Amanath Cooperative Bank Ltd., Bangalore, when he was its president.

“He has violated the code of ethics of the House,” Dr. Swamy said. The office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Bangalore, found in an inquiry that Mr. Khan and his family were responsible for the fraud.

Dr. Swamy said the Reserve Bank of India had also taken cognisance of the offence and criminal cases were filed against Mr. Khan and the erstwhile Board of Directors and other officials of the bank for recovery of the amount. He criticised Mr. Khan for urging the Centre to set up Islamic banks.

    • Flaying the Shiv Sena for its ‘Mumbai for Marathis’ campaign, Dr. Swamy challenged Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray to prove that he was genetically different from the rest of the Indians. “I challenge the Thackerays to first demonstrate they are genetically different from the rest of Indians for making such claims of exclusivity for the mythical distinctiveness of the Marathi manoos.”

Seventy per cent of the words of Marathi derived from Sanskrit, so it was no different from any other Indian language, he said.

Dr. Swamy congratulated RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on showing “true statesmanship and Hindutva” by declaring that all Indians were children of ‘Bharat Mata,’ and every inch of India belonged to all patriotic Indians, irrespective of region, religion and language.
