  • Celebrating 'loose' festivals like Valentine's Day can make you an N.D. Tiwari, is what the Sri Rama Sene, the right-wing Hindu group founded by Pramod Muthalik, is telling people.

     

    Tiwari, the former Andhra Pradesh governor, was forced to quit after allegations of his involvement in a sex romp in December. The Sene, which has spoken out against the celebration of Valentine's Day earlier, has been sending out press releases in Delhi that it wants stop the country's youth from becoming another Tiwari. As a rider, the Sene claims it is not against love but against indecency.

    The children are not the Nagas but are being looked after by the akharas or Hindu religious orders. From education to well being, everything is being taken care of.
    
    "They are not Nagas. The akharas run various schools and take care of the poor children. Diksha (initiation) is given only to those who work towards it and that too only after they are in the age group of 16-18," Mahant Udai Chetan Puri of the Juna Akhara told PTI.

  • वेलेंटाइन डे का विरोध करने के लिए लोग नए-नए तरीके इस्तेमाल करते है लेकिन हिन्दू मक्कल काची(एचएमके) के कार्यकर्ताओं ने तो इजहारे प्यार की इस पश्चिमी संस्कृति का मखौल उड़ाने के लिए आज यहां दो कुत्तों की बाकायदा शादी कराने का एक और भी नायाब तरीका ढूंढ निकाला।
    
    पुलिस ने बताया कि एचएमके के कार्यकर्ताओं ने उत्तरी चेन्नई के पुलियानथोपे में एक मंदिर के सामने इकट्टे होकर दो कुत्तों की शादी कराने का प्रयास किया१लेकिन पुलिस ने उन्हें ऐसा करने से रोक दिया। पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर जएचएम के कार्यकर्ताओं को कुत्तों की शादी कराने से तो वे विरोध प्रदर्शन करने लगे इस पर पुलिस ने एचएमके के करीब १५ कार्यकर्ताओं को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

  • नोखा थाना पुलिस ने पंजाब से तस्करी कर लाए गए पांच ट्रकों में भरे 79 बछड़े बरामद कर 11 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। विश्व हिन्दू परिषद ने आरोप लगाया है कि ये बछड़े पंजाब से तस्करी कर गुजरात में बूचडख़ाने ले जाए जा रहे थे।
    
    नोखा पुलिस थाने के एसआई मनीराम यादव ने बताया कि शनिवार को सुबह इत्तला मिली थी कि पंजाब से पांच ट्रकों में भरे बछड़ों को गुजरात ले जाया जा रहा है। एसआई विक्रमसिंह ने नोखा में नवली गेट पर नाकाबंदी की। वहां से गुजर रहे तीन ट्रकों को रोकने की कोशिश की तो उनके चालक गाडिय़ां भगा ले गए। पुलिस ने नागौर रोड पर करीब चार किलोमीटर पीछा कर बछड़ों से भरे तीनों ट्रकों को रोक लिया और उनमें भरे 48 बछड़े बरामद कर लिए। कुछ देर बाद दो अन्य ट्रक नवली गेट पहुंचे जिन्हें एएसआई महेन्द्र ने रोक लिया और उनमें भरे 31 बछड़े बरामद कर लिए। पुलिस ने ट्रकों में सवार 11 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। बछड़ों की तस्करी किए जाने की इत्तला मिलने पर विहिप के जिला अध्यक्ष डॉ. भंवरलाल पुरोहित कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ मौके पर पहुंच गए। उन्होंने बछड़ों को गुजरात में बूचडख़ाने ले जाने का आरोप लगाया है। पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किए गए अभियुक्तों के खिलाफ गोवंश अधिनियम के तहत दो अलग-अलग मुकदमे दर्ज किए गए हैं।
