- In Srilanka, more than 10 lakh Tamilspeaking Hindu civilians have lost their lives in the recentconflict and still over three lakh people are living inrehabilitation centers without basic amenities, InternationalExecutive president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) S Vedantayaalleged.
- Many Hindus have left Sri Lanka because of the domesticwar and are living in other countries. All such Hindu familieswho have left Lanka should be called back by the Lankangovernment, he said. He alleged that Hindu temples in SriLanka are slowly turning the Buddhism way and it should bestopped.
