    • The Central government should pass a resolution in Parliament to protect Hindus across the world, including Lankan Tamil Hindus, said Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international president Ashok Singhal. The demand comes in the wake of attacks against Hindus in different parts of the world.

“In Sri Lanka three lakh Tamil Hindus are suffering untold miseries in camps, while about one lakh Bhutanese Hindus were forced to move to the US,” he said, while speaking to media after launching Vishwa Hindu Parishad Web TV, on Sunday.
    • He also expressed opposition to the Tehri dam project, proposed over Bhagirathi River in Uttaranchal
    • The organisation’s web television, www.vhtv.in, was necessitated due to the depiction of the VHP, the RSS and other Sangh Parivar organisations, in bad light by the media, he said.
