- On Monday February 15, a local court permitted Ramya Shetty to go back to her parents. It may be recalled that after Ramya Shetty had eloped with Mohammed, who was already married and had three children, on December 4 last year, Hindu organizations had termed it as ‘Love Jehad’. While her parents filed a missing complaint at Konaje police station, her brother, Shivaprasad, had also filed a habeas corpus petition in the court.

- On Monday, Ramya, who came to the court, expressed the view that she had committed a mistake, and revealed her desire to return to her parents. The court, after holding a hearing, permitted her to return to her parents home in Pottolike. Mohammed had not appeared in the court on Monday. The parents of Ramya have sent her to the house of a relative in Vamanjoor for a week. Her parents feel that Ramya has realized her mistake and changed her mind accordingly.
