The Assam Tribune Online - Concern over encroachment at Orang Park

    • UDALGURI, June 9 – Brajen Kakoty, president of Hindu Yuva Chattra Parishad, Asom (HYCPA) addressing a general meeting of Udalguri district committee of the organisation as chief guest, said that though Assam was invaded by the Muslims for seventeen times, Assam was never defeated as Assam had patriots like Lachit Borphukan. But now, it seems that Assam he added, was to be easily yielded to Bangladeshi nationals who are making their ways easily to this land with the help of political patronage.

Expressing grave concern over the unabated encroachment at Orang National Park by suspected Bangladeshi nationals, the HYCPA president said that the case of encroachment at Orang National Park is known well to the State government but it was mysterious to see its silence over this serious issue.
