    • Raising alarm over the manner of preparation of National Population Register (NPR), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Thursday claimed that after completion of the exercise, statistically, there might be no illegal Bangladeshi migrants left in India.

“We are the only country in the world, which gives them ration cards, subsidised food, passports, driving licences, credit cards, voter identity cards and now citizenship and in addition, the Unique Identity Card (UID). After this, statistically, there will be no Bangladeshis in India! VHP’s state media coordinator, Vinod Bansal claimed.

Protesting the manner of preparation of the NPR, Bansal claimed that inclusion of the names of illegal Bangladesh migrants would have serious implications. The VHP leader today said the NPR might list more then two crore infiltrators as nationals of India based on their own declaration.

    • According to a study, the infiltration has hugely distorted the demography of many areas in Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, and even in far off Mumbai and Delhi, he claimed.

Giving an interesting twist, he claimed that Assam Government has incurred an expenditure of Rs 1.80 lakh per head to deport 1,864 illegal Bangladeshi migrants and going by the rate it might cost Rs 36 lakh crore to deport two crore illegal migrants over 64,278 years period!

    • At that rate, it may take 64,278 years and cost Rs 36 lakh crore to deport the two crore Bangladeshis! He alleged.

The Bangladeshi population in India is more than the total population of some 100 countries taken together!

The two crore plus illegal Bangladeshis in India are almost equal the population of Australia or Sri Lanka. The individual population of 167 countries is less than the number of Bangladeshis in India!
