Kolkata A couple who reached Watgunj Marriage Registrar office in south Kolkata on Monday was heckled by their family members for going ahead with their marriage plan despite their parents’ reservations.Anjali Sharma (27), a doctor at Sankar Netralay in Salt Lake, decided to marry Irfan Ali (30), an employee of the same hospital, after their two years courtship. The families of both were, however, against their relationship.
“Both the families were trying to reach an understanding, but nothing worked out as the couple was determined to get married,” said a police officer.
