  • भारत में आयोजित बीबीसी की चर्चित दोहा बहस के दौरान मौजूद लोगों में से बहुमत का मानना था कि भारत में मुसलमानों को उनके पूरे हक मिल रहे हैं। बहुमत का यह भी मत था कि मुसलमानों के साथ भेदभाव नहीं किया जा रहा है।
    
    दोहा बहस बीबीसी टेलीविजन पर प्रसारित किया जाने वाला एक विश्व प्रसिद्ध कार्यक्रम है जिसका आयोजन कतर फाउंडेशन करता है और इसके ऐंकर टिम सेबस्टियन हैं।
    
    पहली बार भारत में आयोजित इस बहस का विषय था- 'सदन की राय है कि भारत में मुसलमानों को समुचित हक नहीं मिल रहे हैं।'
    
    दिल्ली के सेंट स्टीफन्स कॉलेज में आयोजित इस बहस के प्रस्ताव के पक्ष में 37.9 प्रतिशत लोगों ने मत किया जबाकि 62.1 प्रतिशत ने विपक्ष में मत दिया।
    
    बहस में चार विशिष्ट अतिथियों ने हिस्सा लिया जिनमें केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री सचिन पायलट, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार एमजे अकबर, सीमा मुस्तफा और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता तीस्ता सीतलवाड थीं।

  • The Jammu and Kashmir VHP today said that it will launch a country-wide agitation against the proposed surrender policy mooted by the state government, saying the move will destabilise internal security of the country.

  • "We will launch a country-wide agitation to expose the Congress-led UPA government over red carpet welcome to the armed terrorists operating in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK)," state VHP chief Rama Kant Dubay told reporters here today.

    "While displaced Kashmir Pandits cannot be rehabilitated in Kashmir valley in their own country, as also 1947 refugees from PoK in Jammu, the Centre has drawn a plan to rehabilitate terrorists of PoK in this country in Kashmir," he said.

  • Prohibitory order under section 144 Cr PC was clamped today at a place near the district collectorate office in the heart of this district headquarters town after Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) sought for demolition of structures near a place of worship.

    Earlier the district wing of VHP had threatened to take law unto its hands to register their protest against illegal encroachment and construction work by minority community members near a place of worship.

  • Manmath Nath Sahu, secretary of VHP district wing, told reporters here this afternoon that the said 50 decimal plot near a mosque is now under unlawful occupation of minority community members. The community is trying to bring up permanent structure at the disputed site. Sahu, quoting documents and historical evidence, pointed out that a Hindu temple adorned the spot and that was subsequently vandalized and destroyed by foreign invaders.

  • On Monday February 15, a local court permitted Ramya Shetty to go back to her parents. It may be recalled that after Ramya Shetty had eloped with Mohammed, who was already married and had three children, on December 4 last year, Hindu organizations had termed it as ‘Love Jehad’. While her parents filed a missing complaint at Konaje police station, her brother, Shivaprasad, had also filed a habeas corpus petition in the court.

  • On Monday, Ramya, who came to the court, expressed the view that she had committed a mistake, and revealed her desire to return to her parents. The court, after holding a hearing, permitted her to return to her parents home in Pottolike. Mohammed had not appeared in the court on Monday. The parents of Ramya have sent her to the house of a relative in Vamanjoor for a week. Her parents feel that Ramya has realized her mistake and changed her mind accordingly.

  • धर्मनिरपेक्ष गणतंत्र नेपाल को हिंदू राष्ट्र घोषित करने की मांग को लेकर की गई हड़ताल से सोमवार को यहां सात जिलों में जनजीवन बुरी तरह प्रभावित रहा। भीष्म एकता परिषद ने देश को हिंदू राज्य घोषित करने की मांग को लेकर हड़ताल की अपील की थी।

  • पुलिस ने बताया कि हड़ताल से अच्छम, बैतादी, बाजुरा, बझांग, दादेलधूरा, दारचूला और दोती जिले में जनजीवन प्रभावित हुआ। बाजार और शिक्षण संस्थान बंद रहे, यातायात सेवाएं भी बाधित हुईं।

    संगठन देश को हिंदू राष्ट्र, गाय को राष्ट्रीय पशु, राष्ट्रीय झंडे को पहले जैसा करने व नेपाल में संघीय प्रणाली लागू करने के फैसले को वापस लेने की मांग कर रहा है।
