- Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) today urged the Tamil Nadu government to intensify checks on illegal transport of cows from the state to slaughter houses in Kerala and take stringent action against those involved.
- HMK suggested that the administration also strengthen the department, which was working to protect animals from cruelty.
