- VHP today criticised the Jammu and Kashmir government's decision to provide employment to the kin of former militants and said it should desist from following policies to appease the ultras.
"Omar should know that SRO-43 is just a safeguard for a government employee who, while serving the state, dies in duress leaving behind his resourceless family including unemployed children," Ramakant Dubey, VHP state president said in a statement here.
The J&K Chief Minister at a high level meeting at Srinagar yesterday had approved the extension of benefits of SRO-43 (appointment on compassionate grounds) to surrendered militants.
