india had the right idea allying with ahmed shah massoud's northern alliance. their bitter enemy, the taliban, is basically ISI blokes in baggy pants and beards. (yeah right, 'seminary students' the taliban are -- how come they drive tanks and fly planes?)
let us remember kunduz. that's when the CIA showed that the ISI has it completely bamboozled: the airlift from hell allowed the ISI to spirit away almost a thousand of their officers who had been, in talibani outfits, been cornered by the northern alliance in kunduz.
fairly obviously, the ISI has been sheltering osama, and the CIA has known for a long time where osama is. they just chose to liquidate him now: 'may surprise' for obama's poll numbers.
also, the reason they shot osama: they were afraid he'd sing like a canary if put on trial, and expose the CIA's machinations. after all, he, like hekmatyar and haqqani, were feted and wined and dined by the CIA and the bushies. there are photos of bin laden being warmly greeted by cheney.
the CIA thinks it's very clever. in fact, the ISI is running circles around it. it usually feeds the CIA a tidbit whenever the heat gets high. the recent loud noises by the CIA suggested to the ISI they better cough up laden, so they did.
and now for their next trick: making another $10 billion from the US go 'poof'.
