- BANGALORE, March 5, 2010: The Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Karnataka has come out with many proposals for development of the coastal region of the State. The 5th budget tabled by the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has been generously allocated to the Udupi Municipal Council with a grant of Rs 25 crore to mark its Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

- In continuation of his Governments patronage to Hindu temples and religious institutions reflected in the last budget, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday allocated several hundreds of crores of rupees to maths and temples of different denominations.
