- Deity Kanabai’s idol is installed traditionally on the first Sunday of the month of Shravan, according to the Lunar calendar and is immersed in a river on Monday every year. The said procession had started from Gandhi Chowk and was approaching Pir Darwaja when the Muslims present there started shouting to stop the band and pelted stones on the people.
