AIMPLB compares Bal Thackeray with Jinnah
- A member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has compared Bal Thackeray with Mohammed Ali Jinnah, saying the Shiv Sena supremo is promoting separatist ideas like the Pakistan founder. Maulana Syed Kalbe Sadiq, who is also the General Secretary of the All-India Shia Ulema-e-Hind, told reporters here last evening that as Jinnah had laid the foundation of country's partition, Thackeray was also promoting separatist forces.
He claimed that there were many ways in which lot of similarities could be found between Jinnah and Thackeray. The AIMPLB member refused to comment on row created by Shiv Sena over Shah Rukh Khan''s film "My Name Is Khan" and said that everyone should abide by the Constitution. - BHOPAL
